Why the West Loop?
We have lived in the West Loop for the past 16 years and everything we need is right on our doorstep. It was only logical to open our new business in the heart of where we live.
What are your top challenges in growing your business?
Opening a business during a global pandemic.
Why did you join the West Central Association?
Living in the West Loop for the past 16 years we have supported and promoted small businesses. Now a small business ourselves we look forward to being involved with our neighboring businesses by developing healthy business relationships, networking, and referrals.
What makes your business unique?
Facial aesthetics is much more than putting a needle in a face. Being a good aesthetic provider starts with your moral compass. We are in an industry in which some health care providers are more focused on profit than taking care of their patients’ best interests. To us, this is very disturbing. We do not see ourselves as merely a syringe or a unit and we won’t take advantage of someone's purse. We see our role as empowering people to look their best and feel their best. So we always start with what the patient requires rather than up-selling.
Our role as aesthetic providers is to be clear and collaborative with our patients during consultation and assessment. This is where we present the opportunities for treatment should they wish to proceed.
We believe in giving our patients the time to tell their stories. We want to find out what has led them to our treatment chair. We share laughs and tears, and together we create a customized treatment plan. Our eye for detail and understanding of facial anatomy and injectables are key to our success for sure, but ultimately a good injector possesses a strong moral code.
What gets you up in the morning?
The Confidence Bar is split between injecting patients and an educational space sharing aesthetic knowledge with health care providers. We love the variety of every unique face, stories shared and collaborating with colleagues.
No two days are the same. We get job satisfaction from patients coming in excited to update us on their lives and looking forward to leaving with their faces recharged.
We also love the community that has blossomed via our aesthetic training with health care professionals. Watching these pros grow and feel empowered to do the right thing for their patients gives us tremendous job satisfaction. Collectively we can elevate our aesthetic results and community by living a life where every face matters.
What’s your favorite part of the West Loop?
The West Loop is heaven on a plate. When we first moved to the neighborhood it was an industrial meat packing district. Over the years we have watched those historic warehouses being turned into the best eateries in the city. We buy local and eat local.
What does the future look like?
It’s time to start preparing for a post-pandemic future in which industry is healthier, more innovative, and more resilient than before. We have seen firsthand small businesses suffer in the neighborhood. Vaccinated and with a light at the end of the tunnel we are inspired to support each other. It’s obvious we all care about each other’s success, partially because our success is all connected. The more we support each other, the more we’ll live and work in a thriving neighborhood.
