Why the West Loop?
I opened my first PT clinic in the west Loop in 2004 and it has drastically changed since then. I graduated PT school at UIC in 1998 which allowed me to see the potential of this newer neighborhood, once coined Skid Row I saw the promise that the West Loop had long before most people from Greek Town to Randolph Street and the proximity to the Loop, Grant Park, 90/94 and 290.
What are your top challenges in growing your business?
Managing elite patient care with healthcare reimbursement. As well as the education of our community on the benefits and outcomes possible with physical therapy beyond just the traditional thought of post-op recovery.
Why did you join the West Central Association?
At React PT we pride ourselves on taking the time to get to know our patients to ensure individualized treatment and quality hands-on care. We want to impact the health and wellness of the communities in which our clinics exist and the West Loop is where we started it all.
What makes your business unique?
Our team of physical therapists take exceptional pride in the care they provide and the lasting relationships they establish with their patients, referring physicians and the communities that we serve. We stress patient education so that our patients may gain a deeper understanding of how their body works and ultimately develop the self-management techniques necessary for avoiding re-injury and to get our patients stronger than ever and back to the activities they love.
What gets you up in the morning?
Providing for my family is the number one thing that motivates me. The second is the gratification that comes with helping my patient's quality of life.- David Reavy
What’s your favorite part of the West Loop?
There is so many. The people who make up the neighborhood is number one. I have so many great relationships here. There is more of a neighborhood feel to the West Loop which is very appealing. And I can't forget all the different restaurants, old and new.- David Reavy
What does the future look like?
We will continue to focus on providing high quality healthcare to better the quality of life for our communities. To expand beyond our brick and mortar clinics we are also in the process of developing an app to continue to provide and put our patients first by helping them understand their bodies and finding ways to live without limitations.
